Here are some myths we would like to clear about electric vehicle ownership.

1 EV charging takes too long, I do not have time to wait for my car to get charged 
EV charging can be broken down into two basic types: Alternating Current and Direct Current charging, more commonly referred to as AC and DC charging. SP Group allows you to choose between both, giving you more flexibility to suit your needs.

At a charging point, AC power from the grid is converted to DC power by an EV&rsquo;s onboard charger (OBC).

AC charging, which typically comprises your 7.4 kW, 22 kW and 43 kW chargers, usually takes 4-8 hours, depending on the charger&rsquo;s power rating or the car&rsquo;s OBC. An AC charger is ideal for drivers who wish to charge their cars while at work, at the malls or when they have retired for the day.

In the case of DC chargers, which are typically 50 kW and above, the electrical grid&rsquo;s AC power is converted into DC power at the charging point. This is why DC chargers are typically larger. However, DC chargers can charge EVs at a significantly quicker rate, usually bringing your EV batteries to around 80-percent (which is the ideal capacity when charging an EV, to retain the battery&#39;s longevity) in about 30-45 minutes; perfect for people on the move, who are running errands, or who are looking for a quick bite.

Of course, exact charging duration will vary based on multiple factors. The charging power rating (e.g. 7.4 kW, 50 kW or 200 kW), the car&rsquo;s OBC and battery size, as well as your State of Charge (SoC), which refers to the remaining energy in the battery. When the SoC is high, it takes more time, therefore the charging speed will be slower. Helpfully, SP Group&rsquo;s AC chargers range from 3.7 kW to 43 kW, while their DC chargers have charging speeds between 50 kW to 200 kW.

2 Fear of running out of energy before the next charging point 
Most EVs in Singapore are rated with 400 - 500 km of range on a full charge, but depending on an individual&rsquo;s driving style, these numbers may fluctuate. Minimally, most EVs would have a travel range of at least 350 km, which is plenty for three round trips around Singapore; leaving you easily with enough juice in the &ldquo;tank&rdquo; to get you home, or to an EV charger.

3 Driving an EV is expensive! 
You would be glad to know that EV charging costs a fraction of what you&rsquo;d have to fork out to fill up an ICE car. At SP Group&rsquo;s public chargers, you&rsquo;d be forking out around $40 to charge a 50 kWh battery, while getting a full tank of petrol would cost about $100 for same amount of mileage.

4 There are not enough charging points around! Fear of range anxiety 
Granted, drivers would naturally have concerns about the availability of public chargers, but SP Group has an islandwide network of chargers to cater to the EV population. With more than 1,400 charging points across close to 400 locations, EV drivers need simply log into the SP app to view all available chargers along with their charger types, prices, as well as monitor if their selected charger is in use.

Furthermore, the extensive and overarching network of SP chargers also alleviates any range anxiety that EV drivers would have, especially so considering that nearly a fifth of all SP Group chargers support DC fast charging. It&rsquo;s a simple matter of looking at all available DC chargers in your vicinity, finding one that suits your charging needs, and simply plugging your car in.

5 Electric charging is dangerous 
SP chargers are compliant with all the relevant safety standards. However, in the event of heavy rain and/ or lightning, it is advisable to refrain from using charging points located in unsheltered areas.

6&nbsp;There is no reward programme for EV charging unlike fuelling up an ICE

1. Will my vouchers expire?

The vouchers&rsquo; validity dates will be stated on the claimed vouchers. There will strictly be no extension of validity upon the expiry of the vouchers.

2. How many times can I claim the vouchers?

You may claim the vouchers as long as they remain available for claim.

3. Is there a limit to the number of vouchers issued?

Yes, in such instances where the vouchers are fully issued, you will not be able to claim. You may also receive an error message which says, &ldquo;There was a problem, please try again later&rdquo;.

4. Can I give away my vouchers, or exchange them for cash?

Vouchers are tied to individual user accounts and are not transferable. They are strictly non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

5. How do I check on my available vouchers?

Only one voucher may be utilised per transaction, and vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions concurrently.

11. Can I use the vouchers to offset idle fees?

Charging vouchers can only be used to offset electricity consumed during an EV charging session (kWh) and may not be used to redeem idle fees.

12. Are fleet customers eligible for voucher promotions?

Yes, except for corporate fleet customers who are on a consolidated billing arrangement, i.e. the corporate customer pays for the charging and not the corporate customers&rsquo; drivers.

13. I can&rsquo;t find my claimed vouchers, what should I do?

Check your available vouchers in the &ldquo;Usage&rdquo; screen of the &ldquo;EV Charging&rdquo; page.

Getting Your (Charging) Points Across

To the benefit of any condominium project, SP Group offers installation and preventive maintenance (twice a year) of charging points, and at no cost to developments.

To begin the process, your Condominium Management Agent must be informed that you wish to have EV charging points available on-site. Once an AGM Resolution is passed, SP Group will do the groundwork of navigating through the hoops of technical feasibility, including determining if there is sufficient power available in your development, and also how it should deploy its charging points, before presenting its proposal to the development&rsquo;s Management Committee. These include locating a suitable tap-off point and cabling that will lead to the intended parking area.

Perhaps by now, you might be asking&hellip;why should I choose SP Group as my preferred charging service provider? If you own an EV and live in a condominium, you need to read this

Planning to purchase an EV? As you know, more public chargers are sprouting up all over the island. So it&#39;s high time you should learn how to troubleshoot them.

This is probably one of the most common and frustrating issues you may face! Imagine that you are in-need of topping-up that battery. You have just parked your car in the charging bay, and you are barely on-time for your appointment&hellip; You pick up the charging cable, connect your car, but then&hellip; you are unable to start charging successfully. The charging app may show &ldquo;The charging was unsuccessful. Please try again&rdquo;. On the charger side, the charging light may not turn green, but flashes red instead; or there will be an error message appearing on the display screen.

What often prevents the charging process from beginning, is the improper connection between the charging connector and the car. For instance, the charging connector cannot be locked by the car, and this results in a timeout after the charger does not receive a signal from the car to start the charge. Another common issue, especially for DC charging, is that if there are abnormalities detected during the pre-charge phase, charging cannot take place. As a safety precaution, pre-charge checks are performed by the charger before charging can take place.

How can you fix it: 
A good place to start is to first ensure that your car has been powered down. Like with many electronic connections, unplugging the connector and restarting the process, with the connector again firmly placed in the car&#39;s charging port, is often able to solve the problem.

If this fails, simply switching to a neighbouring charger may also help to solve the problem.

How can you fix it: 
The report of a successful charge to the car doesn&#39;t mean that the connector will be unlocked. In some instances, the car&#39;s firmware could have triggered to lock the connector in place. Look through the car&#39;s onscreen menu to ensure that the lock has not been enabled, and do not attempt to remove the connector by force. The charging connector can be easily released by pressing the &#39;unlock&#39; button on your key fob, or through the &#39;unlock&#39; button inside your car. There may also be a manual release switch to decouple the connector on the car. Please refer to your car manual for more information.

This usually happens with AC slow charging. Depending on the car, the car&#39;s onboard charger power rating may have a lower-than-expected limit, but we want you to know that this is actually a good thing.

The intent of the slower charge is to help extend the battery life of your vehicle. For example, you may see that the AC charger has a 22 kW rating and expect a decent flow of current, but the car may have an upper limit of 7.4 kW, so that&#39;s as quick as you are going to get.

How can you fix it: 
Check the maximum AC input power of your EV and make a note of it. It&#39;s designed for slow, overnight charging (which means eight hours, by the way). It&#39;ll keep battery degradation to the minimum, but if you need to juice up and get going quickly, DC charging is the faster way to go, even if it is a little more expensive.

EVs have different charging standards. The most common charging port found on EVs sold in Singapore is the CCS2 vehicle inlet (see left picture). This incorporates the standard Type 2 AC slow charging connector with seven pins (see right picture), together with two extra pins at the bottom for DC fast charging. SP Group&rsquo;s public EV chargers all come equipped with these charging connectors. However, the Japanese standard CHAdeMO port, can also be found on some Japanese EVs in Singapore. Public chargers using this connector are not as readily available.

How can you fix it: 
Well, this is not so-much of a fix, but something you should be aware of. So, take a look at the charging port the car comes equipped with, and double-check the chargers you intend to go to. Do not wait until you are desperately in-need of power to discover that the connectors do not line up!

So, you&#39;re keen to step into the big new world of electric vehicle (EV) ownership. Self-service public EV chargers are sprouting up all over Singapore, but this also means that there is a very small chance of you plugging in your car and getting an error message without anyone around to help you. So if this is preventing you from making that conscious switch to go green, we want you to know that we&rsquo;ve got you!

Recently, we got into conversation with SP Group - the good people behind the most extensive, and largest high-speed charging network in Singapore, so that we can understand the most common problems faced when charging an EV.

We highlight 5 of the most common issues in this article, and present you with the solutions and fixes, so you know what to do if you ever run into them!

Safety protocols dictate that if the connector is not secured, charging will not start. If the charger feels loose in the car&#39;s charging port, or will not &#39;click&#39; in, this might be the symptom of a damaged charging connector. However such incidents are very rare given how sturdy the connectors are. The locking mechanism is activated by the car once a successful connection is detected, so be sure to push the connector firmly to seat it.

How can you fix it: 
First, make a visual inspection of the connector to ensure that it&#39;s not broken or has debris lodged in the pins. If that is the case, it is best to make a report to the service provider, and move on to another charger. EV chargers have very high voltages, and if a charging connector is damaged, it can be dangerous.

If all is well, ensure that the connector is firmly seated in the EV charging port before activating the charger via the app.

If you do hear a repeated &#39;clicking&#39; noise, this means that your vehicle port might be unsuccessfully attempting to secure the connector. Simply remove the connector from the port, and re-insert it carefully.

Do note that the charging cable is heavy, therefore, there is a possibility that it can move the connector out of position.

So, your day is done, and in just about the same time, your charging cycle has completed, but oh no! Why can&rsquo;t the connector be taken out? The usual protocol has the charger send a signal to the car upon charge completion, and the car will unlock the charging connector. However, you may encounter instances where the charging connector cannot be released from your car.

1. What is GreenUP? 
GreenUP is a gamification and rewards platform which is found in the SP app to learn and adopt sustainable habits. When you complete our GreenUP Challenges, you earn &ldquo;leaves&rdquo;, which grow your GreenUP &ldquo;plant&rdquo;.

2. What is my Leaf Tier? 
Your Leaf Tier reflects the rewards that you can earn with us on GreenUP. There are 4 tiers; you must participate in our GreenUP Challenges to earn leaves and continually level up. The 4 tiers are:

The more you charge with SP, the more leaves you earn to level up to the next tier. With each tier you level up, you will unlock more rewards for use.

4. What do the leaves represent? 
Leaves are awarded after you have completed any one of our GreenUP Challenges or for every session of 20 kWh charged, 20 leaves are awarded. The number of leaves you earn will contribute to your Leaf Tier status. As you level up, you will be rewarded with more vouchers to claim and use.

5. Is there a limit to the number of leaves I can earn from charging my EV? 
Each EV charging session of a minimum 20 kWh entitles you to earn 20 leaves. The leaves are capped at 20 per session of minimum 20 kWh. There is no limit to the number of times you can charge your EV.

6. Can I cash out my leaves? 
As leaves have no monetary value, you cannot cash out your leaves.

7. Do my leaves expire? 
Your leaves do not expire. However, your Leaf Tier status is refreshed every 3 months. Participate in GreenUP Challenges to earn more leaves to level up to the next tier.

8. Can I transfer my leaves to another account? 
Leaves are not transferable and are consolidated under the utilities account holder.

9. How do I use the GreenUP Rewards vouchers? 
Inform the merchant&#39;s staff that you would like to use the vouchers before paying the merchant. The merchant&#39;s staff may prompt you to enter your mobile number and redemption PIN for your Advocado account for them to retrieve your details.

2. Where do I redeem for the carpark coupon? 
Head to the Customer Service Counter at Level 2 and show your EV charging payment screen to redeem a carpark coupon worth $4. A minimum charge of 15 kWh in a single transaction is required. Do note that the redemption timing is between 1000hrs and 2145hrs daily.

3. What happens if my carpark charge is beyond $4? 
You will be prompted at the gantry to insert your cash card to pay for the balance car park charge.

4. What is this &quot;leaves&quot; programme? 
This is part of a reward loyalty programme on the SP app &ndash; called the GreenUP Rewards. As an EV driver, you will earn leaves when you charge your EV for a minimum 20 kWh. Do check out the SP app for updates on the programme.

5. Can I leave my EV in the charging lot after charging is completed? 
You are given 30 minutes grace period to move your EV from the charging lot after charging is completed, otherwise idle fees will start to apply. As there are different charging power rating available, you are encouraged to plan your charging session ahead to prevent incurring idle fees.

The promotion period starts from 10 February 00:00 hours and ends by 24 February 2024 23:59 hours. Together with Delta, we reserve the right to end this promotion without notice. We will, however, provide updates - see answer to Question 3 below.

2. What if the charging stations are not available when I arrive? 
Do check the SP app on the availability of the relevant chargers.

Charging is only available based on a first-come, first-served basis, and is subject to charging station availability. As much as we would like to, we cannot guarantee that a charging station will be available during your visit.

If the charging station is not available, please wait if you can, or you may consider coming back at a different time.

3. How do I know when the promotion has ended?

How to claim:

Step 1

From 1 - 29 February 2024, check for the 6 kWh voucher under &ldquo;Usage&rdquo; in the &ldquo;EV Charging&rdquo; page, and click on the voucher to claim it.

The claimed voucher will then be stored in the &ldquo;View your Rewards&rdquo; page and will be available for use when you next charge your EV.

For EV drivers who have not linked your mobile number, the system will prompt you to link your mobile number to Advocado, and you will receive an OTP for verification.

Step 2

Charge your EV at any SP EV charger on our public network by 31 March 2024 to utilise the voucher.

Ensure you have claimed the voucher. Once you are ready to charge, select a voucher from your payment methods. The voucher value will be automatically deducted from the total charging volume.

14. Are the vouchers available for only AC or DC charging? 
Vouchers can be used for both AC and DC charging at EV chargers on SP Mobility&#39;s public network.

15. Will my vouchers be refunded if I did not use them within the stipulated dates? 
Any unused vouchers will not be refunded past the stated expiry date.

16. Are vouchers stackable? 
Vouchers may not be stacked, and shall not be valid with other promotions.

17. Can I use the vouchers to offset idle fees? 
Charging vouchers can only be used to offset electricity consumed during an EV charging session (kWh) and may not be used to redeem idle fees.

18. Are fleet customers eligible for voucher promotions? 
Yes, except for corporate fleet customers who are on a consolidated billing arrangement, i.e. the corporate customer pays for the charging and not the corporate customers&#39; drivers.

19. I can&#39;t find my claimed vouchers, what should I do? 
Check your available vouchers in the &quot;Usage&quot; screen of the &quot;EV Charging&quot; page.

Terms and Conditions of the Lucky Draw

<ol start="1" style="list-style-type:lower-alpha">
	<li>The period for accumulating lucky draw chances is from 1 February 2024, 00:00hr to 29 February 2024, 23:59hr.</li>
	<li>In order to qualify:
	<ol start="1" style="list-style-type:lower-roman">
		<li>Each user has to charge a minimum charge of 20 kWh per charging session during the campaign period.</li>
		<li>Only completed charging sessions ending before 29 February 2024, 23:59hr will be considered.</li>
		<li>Participants will have to join the SP Mobility Telegram channel to qualify. Winners will be requested to verify that they have done so by providing relevant information as requested to SP Mobility.</li>
		<li>Winners have to be natural persons, i.e. there will be no corporate winners.</li>

	<li>The following class of users will not qualify for the lucky draw:

2. Can I win more than once in the lucky draw? 
No - we would like to share the happiness with others too! Each user account can only win once in the lucky draw.

3. Do I qualify for the lucky draw as long as I charge on any SP charger? 
The charger must be on SP&#39;s public network. Hence, charging at a landlord-owned SP charger (such &ldquo;landlord-owned&rdquo; chargers are indicated on the app) or at a condominium will not qualify.

There also needs to be a charge of at least 20 kWh in a single transaction during the month of February, and to follow SP Mobility on Telegram.

4. How do the winners receive the 600 kWh worth of free charging? 
The 600 kWh worth of free charging will be deposited into the winners&#39; user accounts in the form of vouchers. Each winner will have a total of 30 vouchers valued at 20 kWh per voucher. The winners will be able to view them under &quot;Usage&quot; &gt; &quot;View your Rewards&quot; in the &quot;EV Charging&quot; page.

5. When do the 600 kWh of free vouchers expire? 
The vouchers will be valid until 31 December 2024. There will strictly be no extension of validity upon the expiry of the vouchers.

6. When does the free 6 kWh voucher expire? 
The 6 kWh voucher must be claimed within February 2024, and is valid for use to offset your charging until 31 March 2024.

7. How many times can I claim the 6 kWh voucher?

8. Is there a limit to the number of 6 kWh vouchers issued? 
Yes, in such instances where the vouchers are fully issued, you will not be able to claim. You may also receive an error message which says, &ldquo;There was a problem, please try again later&rdquo;.

9. Can I give away my lucky draw or my 6 kWh vouchers, or exchange them for cash? 
Vouchers are tied to specific user account, and are not transferable. They are strictly not refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

10. How do I check on my available vouchers? 
You can check your available vouchers in the &quot;Usage&quot; screen when you open the &quot;EV Charging&quot; page through the SP app.

We understand the frustration EV drivers feel when their vehicles need a charge, only to discover that the nearest EV charging lots are occupied by EVs that have completed their charging sessions.

On 1 December 2023, we started our pilot to implement idle fees at 8 public locations with the aim of deterring hogging and reducing waiting times. The pilot has generally worked well and we are pleased to extend the implementation of idle fees to all our retail mall locations on our public charging network from 31 January 2024 onwards. We hope this will continue to encourage considerate charging etiquette, improve charger availability and enhance the charging experience for all EV drivers.

There are no changes to how the idle fees operate.

To recap, how it works is that once your charging session ends, Push Notifications will be sent via the SP app. Please move your EV from the charging lot within the grace period of 30mins. Beyond the 30mins grace period, idle fees at $0.50/minute will apply between 0700 - 2230hrs every day, except at&nbsp;petrol stations&nbsp;where&nbsp;idle fees will apply all day, 24/7 with no blackout period.

Idle fees are fees that will apply after a charging session has ended and the vehicle is still plugged in after the end of the grace period, which is 30-minutes.

2. What time will idle fees apply?

Idle fees will apply between 7:00 AM and 10:30 PM daily, except at petrol stations where idle fees will apply all day.

3. Are idle fees imposed on all SP EV chargers?

No, idle fees do not apply on all SP EV chargers. Since idle fees were launched on 1 December 2023, the number of locations have grown.

6. Why are idle fees only applicable for these selected locations? What about other locations on the SP network?

Idle fees are implemented at popular locations where we see a need to reduce waiting times and improve availability of the chargers. As EV adoption increases in Singapore, we may continue to roll out idle fees to more locations based on utilisation data and feedback from drivers.

7. What is the idle fee rate?

The idle fee rate is charged at&nbsp;$0.50 per minute, up to a maximum cap of&nbsp;$20 per session. The idle fee starts after a 30-minute grace period once the charging session ends.

8. Is there a grace period before the idle fee is imposed?

Yes, there is a 30-minute grace period which starts once your charging session is completed.

9. When is a charging session complete?

The charging process is completed when the charging has stopped, and the vehicle no longer draws power from the charger. Your vehicle may or may not be 100% charged at that point in time. Please do look out for the notifications pushed out by the SP app informing you that your charging session is complete.

10. How will I be billed for the idle fee?

11. Is there a maximum cap on the idle fee charged?

Yes, there is a maximum cap of $20 per session. We recommend moving your vehicle once your charging session ends to allow for other vehicles to use the chargers and avoid idle fees.

12. How do I know when I&#39;ve incurred an idle fee?

Users will receive the following push notifications:

No, idle fees will not be applicable in this case except at&nbsp;petrol stations&nbsp;where&nbsp;idle fees apply all day, 24/7 with no blackout period.

17. I started charging at 10:29PM and the charging session ended at 3:00 AM the next day. I plugged out at 7:05 AM the next day. Will I have to pay any idle fees?

Yes, idle fees will be applicable for the period of 7:00 to 7:05 AM. The grace period started at 3:00 AM and ended at 3:30 AM and idle fees start to apply from 7:00 AM onwards.

Note that the above answer is not applicable for&nbsp;petrol stations&nbsp;where&nbsp;idle fees apply all day, 24/7 with no blackout period.

18. The clock on my phone is 5 minutes slower than your system&#39;s clock. Do I get an additional 5-minute grace period?

No, idle fees are centrally managed by our system and we are unable to accommodate specific instances of timing mismatch on users&#39; phones.

19. I plugged out 30 seconds after the grace period ended. Am I still charged idle fees?

Yes, 1 minute of idle fee will be applicable. Please note that our smallest unit of idle fee charging is on a per-minute basis.

20. What should I do if I face any problems with idle fees?

GreenUP is a gamification and rewards platform which is found in the SP app to learn and adopt sustainable habits. When you complete our GreenUP Challenges, you earn &ldquo;leaves&rdquo;, which grow your GreenUP &ldquo;plant&rdquo;.

2. What is my Leaf Tier? 
Your Leaf Tier reflects the rewards that you can earn with us on GreenUP. There are 4 tiers; you must participate in our GreenUP Challenges to earn leaves and continually level up. The 4 tiers are:

4. What do the leaves represent? 
Leaves are awarded after you have completed any one of our GreenUP Challenges or for every 20 kWh - 1 leaf is awarded - when you charge your EV. The number of leaves you earn will contribute to your Leaf Tier status. The higher your Leaf Tier, you will be rewarded with more vouchers to claim and use.

5. Why are my leaves not reflected after I have completed a challenge? 
Please drop us a note by clicking this &quot;Contact Us&quot; form&nbsp;<a href="https://contactus.spdigital.sg/#/form" target="_blank">link</a>&nbsp;and allow up to 3 business days for your leaves to be credited.

6. Can I cash out my leaves? 
As leaves have no monetary value, you cannot cash out your leaves.

7. Do my leaves expire? 
Your leaves do not expire.

8. Can I transfer my leaves to another account? 
Leaves are not transferable and are consolidated under the utilities account holder.

9. How do I maintain my current GreenUP Leaf Tier? 
Do GreenUP Challenges daily or charge more with us. That way, you can maintain your current Leaf Tier status by getting past the safe zone every cycle. Earn a safe number of leaves to keep your status in the next cycle.

10. How do I progress to the next Leaf Tier? 
When you complete our GreenUP Challenges, you will earn leaves to progress to the next tier. Your Leaf Tier status will be automatically upgraded, and you will get to keep your Leaf Tier status till the next 3-month cycle.

11. How often will my Leaf Tier status be updated? 
We will review and update your Leaf Tier status every 3 months. Do come back regularly to do GreenUP Challenges to earn leaves to maintain your Leaf Tier status or progress to the next one.

12. What is the New GreenUP Rewards Programme which started on 4 December 2023? 
Starting 4 December 2023, we have a new GreenUP Rewards programme, where you will be rewarded with vouchers according to your Leaf Tiers.

The 4 Leaf Tiers for our GreenUP Rewards programme remain the same. Each Leaf Tier will reward you with several vouchers within a validity period. The higher your Leaf Tier is, the more vouchers you can claim and use.

13. How do I receive my GreenUP Rewards? 
Participate in GreenUP Challenges daily, earn leaves and be rewarded. Level up your GreenUP tier and unlock more rewards. Rewards earned for the current month will be automatically awarded to you by the first week of the following month.

14. I see so many Rewards vouchers for claim and use. How many vouchers are there for each Leaf Tier? 
If you are an existing GreenUP user, you would be familiar with our GreenUP Challenges. The more challenges you complete, the more you earn leaves, giving you a Leaf Tier status. You will see several vouchers to claim and use with every Leaf Tier status.

The more leaves you earn, the more it will help you to level up the next Leaf Tier, unlocking more vouchers to claim and use.

15. How do I use the GreenUP Rewards vouchers? 
Inform the merchant&#39;s staff that you would like to use the vouchers before paying the merchant. The merchant&#39;s staff may prompt you to enter your mobile number and redemption PIN for your Advocado account for them to retrieve your details.

16. Is there an expiry date for the GreenUP Rewards voucher? 
Yes, each claimed voucher will indicate its expiry date. It is automatically set at 90 days upon claim.

17. I have claimed my GreenUP Rewards vouchers within my Leaf Tier. How and where to use them? 
Please refer to each voucher for the redemption details. Each voucher indicates the locations where the voucher may be used. It may only be available for use at some locations. Please check the redemption details before making your way down to use it.

18. Are there Terms and Conditions for each voucher? 
Yes, you can find the Terms and Conditions set by the participating merchants on the voucher page.

19. Why are there vouchers which I can view but cannot claim? 
If you refer to the bottom section of the GreenUP Rewards, you&#39;ll see &lt;LEVEL UP FOR MORE REWARDS&gt;. This section shows the retailers and the vouchers made available by them for claim and use if you level up your Leaf Tier status to the next tier. So, do continue to do the GreenUP Challenges daily and gain more Leaves to level up.

20. I have claimed the vouchers made available to me within my Leaf Tier last month. Why am I still seeing the same vouchers this month again? 
The vouchers are refreshed on a monthly basis. If your Leaf Tier status remains the same as last month, you will see the same set of vouchers available. You may claim them again and use them during the validity period. However, you cannot combine and use the same vouchers in a single transaction.

If you have levelled up your Leaf Tier, congrats! Since you&#39;ve unlocked the next level, you will see the same vouchers available and new ones, too. Just claim and use them within the 90-day validity period.

21. My GreenUP Rewards vouchers have expired, and I have yet to use them. Can I get them back and use them? 
Unfortunately, all our GreenUP Rewards vouchers are set with a 90-day usage validity period and the validity cannot be extended. For the next Leaf Tier cycle, you can get the same vouchers if you have maintained your Leaf Tier status and if the merchant is running the same promotion at the time.

NTUC Union Membership is open to anyone above the age of 16 with valid NRIC/FIN number, except for personnel from Singapore Police Force, Singapore Prison Service, Civil Defence Force, Singapore Armed Forces, Narcotics Service or Auxiliary Police bodies (Certis Cisco, Aetos and SATS), foreign domestic workers, and full-time students.

We understand the frustration EV drivers feel when their vehicles need a charge, only to discover that the nearest EV charging lots are occupied by EVs that have completed their charging sessions.

From 1 Dec 2023, we will be implementing idle fees at 8 public charging locations to deter hogging and reduce waiting times. We hope this will encourage considerate charging etiquette, improve charger availability and enhance the charging experience for all EV drivers.

How it works is that once your charging session ends, Push Notifications will be sent via the SP app. Please move your EV from the charging lot within the grace period of 30mins. Beyond the 30mins grace period, idle fees at $0.50/minute will apply between 0700 - 2230hrs every day, except at petrol stations where idle fees will apply all day.

The promotion covers the entire EV charging rate to ensure you enjoy free charging.

Any other applicable fees levied by the property where the chargers are located, such as car parking fees, are not covered under the promotion.

3. What if the chargers are not available when I arrive?

To avoid disappointment, we advise drivers to check the availability of chargers at their preferred location on the SP App before heading down.

As free charging is based on a first-come, first-served basis, it is subject to charging station availability. We are unable to guarantee that a charging station will be available during your visit.

4. How do I know when the promotion has ended?

SP Mobility is celebrating National Day by purchasing MyGreenCredits&trade; to offset all carbon emissions created by the electricity used by drivers of our public electric vehicle (EV) charging network from 1 - 31 August 2023. MyGreenCredits are bundled to support the National Parks Board&#39;s (NParks) OneMillionTrees movement. The movement aims to restore nature back into our city through the planting of a million more trees across Singapore over the next 10 years.

This is a particularly meaningful way for SP Mobility to celebrate our nation&#39;s birthday, by going green!

Why is SP Mobility doing this?

Empowering green mobility has always been SP Mobility&#39;s mission. However, beyond just setting up EV charging stations islandwide, SP Mobility believes that more can, and should be, done. This is supported by the recent reports of climate records around the world regarding rising temperatures, increasing ocean heat, and accelerated melting of the Antarctic Sea ice. These alarming trends should be heeded and translated into action to lessen the transport sector&#39;s impact on the environment.

How has SP Mobility contributed to going green?

Since 2018, SP Mobility has been empowering green mobility by building an extensive and reliable public EV charging network. On 15 April, SP Group and Borneo Motors signed an agreement to collaborate in the Tengah township. Borneo Motors is committed to launch a curated car-sharing scheme in Tengah by September 2023 when Tengah residents start to move into the estate. In addition, Borneo Motors will be officially launching Toyota&#39;s first dedicated battery electric vehicle - the Toyota bZ4X, which is an exclusive only for Tengah residents! Starting with 1 vehicle, they will look to scale up to 8 vehicles once the demand for such service picks up.

Up to approximately 10% of parking lots across Tengah will be equipped with EV charging points from SP Group. Driving an EV in Tengah will be both convenient and seamless for Tengah residents!

MyTengah Partnership – Borneo Motors

The SP Group (SP) and Singapore Petroleum Company (SPC) announced a partnership to install fast electric vehicle charging points at SPC service stations in Singapore.

SPC&rsquo;s service station at Bukit Batok is the first public charging station to be fitted with a 150kW direct current (DC) fast charger. It operates at a &#39;full speed&#39; of 150kW when occupied by one EV and as a 75kW charging point when charging two EVs.

The location of SPC&rsquo;s Bukit Batok Service Station is as follows:

 SPC and SP Group Partnership

SP Group has officially launched its first electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in the Housing Board carparks. The locations are as follow:

In total there are 9 charging points in these 3 locations.

The new HDB EV charging points in Tampines can be used by riders of large electric motorcycles too. The widening network of SP EV chargers will definitely make life easier for the owners of electric vehicles in Singapore.

You can charge and view your charging session on the SP app. It will send you notifications to update you on the charging status and you can end the session any time through the SP app. Once charging has stopped, you can view your payment details, and you only pay for what you use, with no additional fees or charges.

1. How long is the free charging promotion period?

From 1 April &ndash; 30 September 2023 or when the free 120,000 kWh credits by SE is fully redeemed, whichever is earlier. Together with SE, we reserve the right to end this promotion without any notice to you. We will however provide updates &ndash; see answer to Question 4 below.

2. Are there any additional fees I need to pay?

Together with SE, we are offering this free charging promotion to you.

The promotion covers only the cost of electricity used during the charging session. Any other charging fees such as car parking fees, are not covered and must be paid by you.

3. What if the charging is not available when I arrive?

Do check the SP App on the availability of the relevant chargers.

Free charging is only available based on a first-come, first-served basis, and is subject to charging station availability. As much as we would like to, we cannot guarantee that a charging station will be available during your visit.

If the charging station is not available, please wait if you can, or you may consider visiting the other charging stations located near you or do come back again during the promotion period.

4. How do I know when the promotion has ended?

Please refer to SP Group&rsquo;s Facebook and Instagram and spmobility.sg website for updates.

5. I have arrived at a free charging station location. Why is it that some chargers at the same location are free, but some are not?

This promotion is only applicable to SE&rsquo;s charging stations, which are exclusively only AC chargers on our network. Hence, DC charging stations are wholly excluded.

Do note that in some locations, there may be both SE and other OEM&rsquo;s charging stations for AC charging. Only the charging on the SE charging station is free.

If ever in doubt, please check the price on the SP App to see that the price stated is &ldquo;$0.000/kWh&rdquo;.

Singapore, 2 November 2021&nbsp;&ndash; Porsche Asia Pacific and SP Group (SP) announce a partnership today to further expand the brand&rsquo;s bespoke Porsche Destination Charging (PDC) network in Singapore, with new lifestyle destinations enabling wider access to seamless charging for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) and battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in Singapore.

The Porsche Destination Charging network forms a key part of the brand&rsquo;s three-pronged approach to developing a comprehensive charging ecosystem in Singapore.

At home, Porsche offers bespoke solutions for safe and secure private charging; outside, the expanded PDC network will further augment public charging with AC and DC charging points at frequently-visited lifestyle locations. Finally, Porsche&rsquo;s recently announced High Performance Charging network along the North-South highway in Malaysia caters to ultra-fast, en-route charging needs for long-distance travel.

By partnering with SP, Porsche powers up a charging ecosystem that addresses the broad spectrum of mobility needs for PHEV and BEV drivers in Singapore, accelerating local take-up and paving the way for the brand&rsquo;s long-term goal of achieving 80% electrified sales and a carbon neutral balance sheet across its entire value chain by 2030. SP operates Singapore&rsquo;s largest public fast-charging EV network, and currently runs 10 PDC charging points at ONE ̊15 Marina Sentosa Cove and Jewel Changi Airport. From 1 January 2022, all customers that take delivery of a new Porsche PHEV or BEV from Porsche Centre Singapore will enjoy one year of complimentary charging and 20% off the public EV charging tariff thereafter at all PDC sites operated by SP Group.

Existing Porsche PHEV or BEV owners registered at Porsche Centre Singapore will also get one year of complimentary charging from 1 January 2022, and 20% off the public EV charging tariff at all PDC sites operated by SP Group thereafter.

In addition, from now until 31 December 2021, existing Porsche PHEV or BEV owners registered at Porsche Centre Singapore will enjoy 10% of the EV public charging tariff on SP Group&rsquo;s islandwide network of public charging stations.

Porsche Asia Pacific and SP Group partner to create largest manufacturer-branded charging network in Singapore

Borneo Motors Singapore and SP Group have announced a partnership to develop an electric vehicle sharing programme in Tengah New Town in 2023

Borneo Motors Singapore (BMS), the authorised distributor for Toyota cars in Singapore, has announced a partnership with SP Group to develop an electric vehicle (EV) sharing programme in the upcoming Tengah New Town. The two companies signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) at an event held at the Toyota showroom in Leng Kee, and the programme is expected to be rolled out in June 2023.

The initial phase of the programme will see BMS provide eight hybrid and electric cars for the programme, including one unit of Toyota&rsquo;s first battery electric vehicle (BEV), the bZ4x, which was previewed at the event. BMS shared though that they may scale up and add more cars to the programme in the future depending on user demand in the estate.

Both BMS and SP Group will use the programme to collect and analyse data on a range of factors such as driving patterns, electrified vehicle consumption patterns and electrified vehicle preferences. This will enable them to better understand user behaviour and anticipate evolving demands to optimise future e-mobility programmes for residents, and potentially expand it to other towns in Singapore.

Jasmmine Wong, CEO of Inchcape Singapore and Greater China, the parent company of BMS, said, &ldquo;The ideal scenario will hopefully see us grow this partnership together, and this Tengah pilot will help us gauge how users in Singapore take to this kind of EV sharing programme, and how we can further expand on it in the future.&rdquo;

On SP Group&rsquo;s end, the company plans to have EV charging points in 10 percent of all parking lots in three Tengah districts by 2030, in line with the Singapore Government&rsquo;s plans to have 60,000 charging points islandwide by then as well. Tengah has been earmarked as Singapore&rsquo;s first smart energy town, and with the new programme, it is expected that EV take up rates in the town will be 30 percent above the national average by 2025.

Both companies will also develop an Innovation and Experience Centre within Tengah town to provide education and awareness on the future of mobility to encourage adoption of electrified vehicles. The centre will be family-oriented, and feature games and activities to enable visitors to experience the different pathways to decarbonisation through electrification, as well as promote safer driving habits and cost-saving through energy efficiency.

URBAN, infrastructure and managed services consultancy company Surbana Jurong has entered into an agreement with SP Group to install electric vehicle (EV) charging points at its new global headquarters, the Surbana Jurong Campus.

Located in the Jurong Innovation District, the on‐campus EV charging hub is expected to be the largest in South-east Asia.

The hub will eventually allow up to 250 drivers to park and charge their vehicles at a time, Surbana Jurong said in a statement on Monday (Jun 6).

Surbana Jurong and SP will install a mix of 9 fast and slow-charging points at launch, and will ramp up to 36 charging points within the next 18 months.

Upon completion of the initial 36 charging points, chargers will progressively be installed in tandem with market demand for EVs, said Surbana Jurong.

EV drivers can locate charging points, track the charging progress and make payments through the SP mobile app.

SP currently operates Singapore&rsquo;s largest public fast‐charging EV network which covers over 500 charging points across more than 100 locations.

Surbana Jurong expects the charging hub will meet the EV charging needs of its employees and tenants at the campus, as well as the wider community in the west region.

Group chief executive officer of SP Stanley Huang noted that the company aims to accelerate the adoption of electro-mobility in Singapore to support the Republic&rsquo;s net-zero emissions goal.

&ldquo;Establishing an extensive, accessible, convenient and reliable EV charging network and charging experience will provide confidence for the transition to take place at scale,&rdquo; Huang said.

Earlier in March, OCBC announced a partnership with Charge+ to install 10 EV charging points in the Central Business District (CBD), then said to be the largest charging hub in the CBD.

Singapore&rsquo;s Ministry of Transport also aims to install at least 3 EV charging ports in all Housing and Development Board car parks by 2025.

SINGAPORE, September 25, 2021&nbsp;&ndash;&nbsp;Hyundai Motor Group (the Group), in partnership with SP Group and Komoco Motors, announced the launch of an E-mobility pilot program in Singapore. The program aims to identify real-world customer concerns and requirements for enhancing customer value and experience and establishing a robust EV ecosystem in the city state.

The E-mobility pilot plans to offer EV owners convenience, reliability, and peace of mind while driving an EV based on customers&rsquo; needs. The pilot will test a new business model &ndash; participants will subscribe to one of the three monthly subscription plans that integrate customer care services and EV-charging credits.

A group of 50 participants, who were selected in July 2021, will experience long-range IONIQ 5 BEVs of Hyundai Motor Company for the next five years starting from September 2021. Through the E-mobility platform, Hyundai Motor Group&rsquo;s proprietary system developed for BEV maintenance and being operated jointly with program partners, drivers will be able to receive diverse services.

SP Group, which operates Singapore&rsquo;s largest fast-charging network, will provide customized EV charging solutions. On the E-mobility platform and the SP Utilities app, participants can seamlessly subscribe and pay for their chosen plan, locate the nearest charging point, charge and track the remaining charging credits. Under the program, subscribers can choose one of three charging credit plans &ndash; basic (60kWh/month), standard (180kWh/month), and premium (300kWh/month).

Each plan includes various customer care services. Drivers can monitor their EV battery in real-time on their mobile devices, receive status updates and alerts on the condition of the battery and vehicle. Komoco Motors, the exclusive distributor for Hyundai in Singapore will play a pivotal role in providing maintenance service which covers Vehicle-to-Vehicle(V2V) mobile charging service for on-site emergency cases such as cars with insufficient charge and preventive maintenance services.

In addition, pilot participants will be provided with in-vehicle air care products. Embiome, a Hyundai Motor affiliate that specializes in automotive products based on eco-friendly biotechnology, will offer eco-friendly coating and filters to maintain the vehicle&rsquo;s internal clean air quality.

Hyundai Motor Group Launches ‘E-mobility Pilot’ in Singapore with SP Group and Komoco Motors to Enhance EV Customer Experience

Singapore, 28 May 2021&nbsp;&ndash; SP Group (SP) and Strides Transportation (Strides) have signed an agreement to launch Electrification-as-a-Service (EaaS) as a new offering to Strides&rsquo; drivers and fleet customers. Strides will leverage SP&rsquo;s high-speed public EV charging network, which is the largest of its kind in Singapore, to provide the service. Both parties also agreed on a strategic collaboration to explore various technological solutions to enhance the EaaS offering for EV customers, including the provision and operation of charging points at customer premises.

Through this tie-up, Strides, a subsidiary of SMRT Road Holdings, will offer its EV drivers and corporate customers access to high-speed chargers around Singapore. This will provide greater convenience and a quicker turnaround time for its drivers. SP Mobility, a subsidiary of SP, is a dominant player and an early mover in EV charging infrastructure. It currently has 340 charging points set up in 71 locations including shopping malls, commercial buildings, business parks and industrial sites islandwide. One-third of SP&rsquo;s nationwide charging network are high-speed DC chargers.

The signing was witnessed by Group Chief Executive Officer of SP, Mr Stanley Huang, and SMRT Corporation&rsquo;s Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr Neo Kian Hong.

Strides&rsquo; EaaS is a suite of end-to-end solutions that include the provision and maintenance of a wide range of electric vehicles, charging infrastructure and a digital management platform. SMRT recently announced its plans to convert its entire taxi fleet to 100% electric within the next five years. The first batch of 300 electric taxis is slated to arrive in Singapore progressively from July this year. The electrification of the entire taxi fleet is part of SMRT&rsquo;s growth strategy in green businesses under its urban mobility services arm, Strides Mobility.

SP had earlier signed partnerships with the Goldbell Group, Grab and Schneider Electric to support the charging needs of their EV fleets. In recent months, SP announced a partnership with Chevron to install chargers at four Caltex service stations, and added chargers at locations such as Paya Lebar Quarter, Great World City and Orchid Country Club.

Strides and SP Group to launch Electrification-as-a-Service (EaaS) for EV customers

Singapore, 22 March 2021&nbsp;&ndash; SP Group (SP) and Chevron Singapore Pte. Ltd., which markets the Caltex&nbsp;TM&nbsp;brand, today announced a partnership to offer fast electric vehicle (EV) charging at selected Caltex service stations, delivering on-the-go convenience to electric vehicle motorists.

To be located at four of Caltex&rsquo;s service stations across Singapore, the initial batch of chargers will be strategically located across the Caltex network, at Chong Pang (North), Changi (East), Jurong Spring (West) and Dunearn (Central). These Caltex service stations will be equipped with 50kW direct current (DC) fast chargers that can charge up an EV in 30 minutes, versus a few hours required by the more commonly available alternating current (AC) chargers. Three service stations will each be equipped with one 50kW direct current (DC) fast charger. The fourth, at Changi, will have two 50kW DC charging points that are designed to allow a compatible car to charge up to a speed of 100kW, provided only one car is utilising the charging points.&nbsp;(Refer to the annex for the addresses of this first batch of service stations.)

SP and Caltex will study EV charging usage patterns and behaviour at the stations to refine and enhance accessibility and utilisation, and plan for more charging points and locations.

This SP and Caltex partnership will better serve drivers choosing electric vehicles and help achieve a lower-carbon future for Singapore. This includes Caltex&rsquo;s existing commercial customers who plan to electrify their fleets. Both companies will continue to explore initiatives to meet the EV needs for private ownership and commercial use.

The chargers will be installed by the second quarter of 2021 and will be incorporated on the SP Utilities mobile app for ease of use. The SP Utilities mobile app allows EV drivers to search for the availability of the nearest charging points, receive real-time updates on their charging sessions and make direct, cashless payment.
