Frequently Asked Questions

1. When is the promotion period?

The promotion period is between 1 December 2023 and 30 September 2024, subject to change at both SP Mobility’s and NTUC’s discretion. The promotion will also end when the number of charging credits allocated for this promotion is fully disbursed.

2. I am already an existing NTUC Union member. Am I still eligible?

This promotion is only valid for new NTUC Union Members who sign up between 1 December 2023 and 30 September 2024.

3. Am I eligible to apply as an NTUC Union Member?

NTUC Union Membership is open to anyone above the age of 16 with valid NRIC/FIN number, except for personnel from Singapore Police Force, Singapore Prison Service, Civil Defence Force, Singapore Armed Forces, Narcotics Service or Auxiliary Police bodies (Certis Cisco, Aetos and SATS), foreign domestic workers, and full-time students.

Union members also pay an NTUC Union membership fee of $117 per annum ($9 per month from Jan-Nov & $18 in Dec).

4. How do I take part in this promotion?

Simply apply for NTUC Union Membership here. Please note that only applications submitted via this link will qualify for this promotion.

Applications are subject to the validation criteria set out by NTUC, including but not limited to the following:

1. payment of 3 month(s) of NTUC membership fees (non-refundable fees);
2. successful activation of the credit/debit card recurring payment arrangement for future membership fee deduction; and
3. completion of NTUC’s membership form and receipt of NTUC’s approval of the membership application.

5. Can I enjoy this promotion if I do not have an EV charging account with SP Mobility?

Yes. Simply download the SP App and register for an account on our EV charging page. Please note to sign up for NTUC Union Membership using your registered SP App email address to receive your charging credits. We will also remind you of these steps in our welcome email to you.

6. When will I receive this welcome email?

Participation in this promotion is first subject to validation of your new NTUC Union Membership application. The entire process may take up to six weeks from the point of application form submission. We appreciate your patience.

7. How do I charge with my $32 free EV charging credit?

The $32 free EV charging credit will be automatically loaded via an EV charging plan on your SP App. Simply activate the EV charging plan on your SP App based on the guide sent to your email address, start and stop charge at any SP Mobility public EV chargers and the corresponding charging amount will be deducted from your charging credits amount.

8. Do the free charging credits expire?

Yes. The free charging credits expire 1 month from the date of activation of your EV charging plan on the SP App.

9. Are the free charging credits transferable?

No, they are not. As the charging credits are tagged to your EV charging account on the SP App as identified by your email, they cannot be transferred to another EV charging account.

10. Can I split the use of the $32 credit over multiple charging sessions?

Yes. Once the plan is activated, charging credits can be drawn down over multiple charging sessions before the date of expiry.

11. How do I know when the promotion has ended?
