SP Mobility and EV Connection launch partnership to enhance cross-border EV charging experience

In collaboration with EV Connection (EVC), the operator of Malaysian electric vehicle (EV) charging network JomCharge, SP Mobility will launch a new partnership to enhance the cross-border EV charging experience for our users. This will enable greater convenience for our customers by making EV charging points accessible in Malaysia.

With effect from [28 August 2024], the partnership’s first phase will allow users to purchase credits that can be utilised across the Causeway. These credits will initially be made available to Aion customers in Singapore and Malaysia.

The partnership will connect an extensive charging network across Singapore and Malaysia, aiming to further strengthen the growing cross-border EV ecosystem and encourage more people to embrace EVs in the shift towards a low-carbon future.

Stay updated through SP Mobility’s website and Telegram channel as we continue to work towards a more seamless cross-border EV charging experience. For JomCharge users, please refer to JomCharge’s website for more updates and information.

6. How can I continue charging in Malaysia?

At the start of this collaboration, both SP Mobility and JomCharge are only making the charging credits available through selected automotive OEM partners. We will not be offering the JomCharge charging credits to members of the public yet, but users may write to emobility@spgroup.com.sg to express interest in procuring the JomCharge charging credits.

For users who have access to JomCharge charging credits from SP Mobility, they will have to download the JomCharge app on their mobile phones and sign up for an account. The charging credits will then be uploaded to the users’ JomCharge account for use at JomCharge’s chargers in Malaysia.
